DeepTech Is Hard

Being a DeepTech startup is challenging. Although the market seeks innovative solutions, there are several obstacles on the way:

Intellectual Property Complexity

Navigating patents, licensing, and protection across different markets is costly and time-consuming.

Translating Science into Business Language

Communicating the value proposition in a clear, simple, and compelling way is often difficult.

Difficult Commercialisation

Due to the novelty of the technology, commercialisation requires lengthy validation, piloting, and approval phases.

STEM-Heavy Teams Lacking Business Acumen

Founders and early teams often have strong technical backgrounds but limited experience in business.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, we do not take equity as part of the programme.

No, we don’t. You only pay the programme fee.

The programme includes a Demo Day and the opportunity to be featured in our investor brochure. We will promote your company, and you’ll have the chance to pitch—but we do not guarantee matchmaking.

We’ll help you design them and show you how it should be done, but a lot depends on your current stage (e.g. if you don’t have presentable sales materials, it may not be possible). We’ll explain how it works, what platforms to use, how to write outreach emails, and what you should include in your materials.

We can’t give an exact number, but based on previous programmes, we expect 10–20 corporates and investors to attend.

Not necessarily, but we expect you to have presentable sales and fundraising materials that we can work with.

The only potential extra costs are for tools and software (e.g. Apollo) if you don’t already have access. However, the programme is designed to be successful without requiring additional spending.

We’ll share a recording with you so you can rewatch any masterclass you missed.

Booking is on a first-come, first-served basis. The organisers will offer several time slots and do their best to accommodate you, but if you’re unable to attend, it is your responsibility.
